I love how I can use the ottoman to make our couch super comfy for laying on when the whole family is watching a movie but I struggled with how to style it when it was being used as a coffee table.

Use a tray the opposite shape of the ottoman

If your ottoman is round I would use a rectangle or square shape tray. Since ours is square I decided to go with a round-shaped tray.

Add Height

Adding something with height is a great way to tie in a look. It helps create that focal interest. I do recommend using something with height so that you can easily move, when you watch TV. I recommend adding a few things at different heights.

Add different Sizes/Textures

When you style your tray I suggest you add items that are different sizes and textures. For example, for the taller plant I used something that had fuzzy details so for the smaller one I wanted to use something flat. Also, try adding a book or magazine to the tray as well.

Add Warmth

Adding a candle or a battery-operated candle can add that gentle glow that instantly gives all the fall cozy vibes.
