Easy Stovetop Tequila Spiked Apple Cider Recipe

|

Recently, I got invited to a tequila tasting and it got me thinking of the fall recipes, I typically make, that I could add it too. Usually, in the fall, I make a spiced rum apple cider recipe in a crockpot but our crockpot broke a few weeks ago and I haven’t replaced it yet. So if I was going to make a hot toddy, it only left me with a stovetop option to make this tequila spiked cider. If you are a tequila lover, you may really like this one.

Before we get into the recipe, I want to make sure I start off by saying that it’s super important to use a tequila that is not harsh tasting or lower quality. The tequila needs to have hints of fall flavors in it and also be higher quality. The tequila needs to be smooth for this hot toddy. I know it may cost a bit more for a good tequila but the flavor is so worth it.

If you are not sure what to look for in a tequila, head to a liquor store, ask the staff if they can recommend something for you. The tequila I used for this recipe has aromas of caramel, spice, and oak. A long rich spicy and smooth finish which tasted great for this cider.
